We wanted this nursery to feel like a well-loved family home in the South: warm, collected and a little bit classic. A balsam green dresser, a navy glider and a walnut spindle crib sit on a rich brown plaid rug, while soft cream curtains keep everything light.
A gallery wall of a vintage dog portrait, sketched ducks, a sweeping landscape and a personalized pennant gives the room its story. Stitch his name or your hometown on the pennant, and the wooden motorcycle will be waiting for the day he is ready to ride.

Three steps, in the order we would do it.
Measure first, then choose the crib, dresser, glider, ottoman, side table and rug. They set the size and feel of the room, and the rug comes in several sizes.
6 pieces: #9, 11, 13, 14, 15, 18Hang the ceiling light and the curtains, add the table and floor lamps, then layer in the pillows and the knit throw.
